Welcome to meriwi.net
Kia ora, konnichiwa, g'day, and welcome to meriwi.net, one of many avenues of communication for friends and family (and their friends and family) of Meredith Fonda Russell.
meriwi.net, inspired by the Legacy.com Guestbook (click for a local copy), seeks to expand the Guestbook to include a more personal, non-commercialized experience (and to add photo sharing). Please feel free to browse around...

Monday, 16 May 2005: After a lengthy beta phase, meriwi.net has finally shed much of its bloated clutter. Words were swapped for images, menus simplified, unused features turned off.
More importantly, large and important security fixes were made to many pages. They all feature a more robust database entry/access backend, and hopefully the forums won't attract any more bots.
We'll see....

 | |  Updates: Journal block working |
|
 |
Tuesday, 22 June 2004: The Journal block has been modified so that it works. Also, it's been made more secure: it now only lists public journal entries. During it's intermediate stages of functionality, the block would list private Journal entries - so anyone could view what you thought would be private! The block has been changed to ensure that what you've marked as private remains private.

 | |  Updates: Add spice to your Journal entries |
|
 |
Monday, 21 June 2004: Those of you that have started Journals may have noticed that when you hit a return to make a new line, you don't really get one. You go to read what you just wrote, but the new lines aren't there! Well, that's because the Journal entries are html, so a new line isn't really seen by the browser at all.
How do you fix this? Well, go to your Journal a begin a new entry. You'll see two new links at the above the "Topic" box. These links tell you how to add new lines and heaps of other cool fomatting: underline, bold, italic, fixed width, color.
So get on over and start writing!
